Faced with the prospect of not being able to swim in his condominium pool, which is closed because of Singapore's strict lockdown measures, the British expat cast around his neighbours' properties. Last Word on coronavirus April 29

This is regarding masks. I want to say, "Whoa!" to the bullies out there. There is no legal mandate that people must wear a mask or use gloves. This is to the lady, the senior lady, that was concerned because she didn't have a mask. There are places that will give away a free mask, but you should not be concerned or afraid of anyone approaching you because you don't have a mask. There is no legal mandate. So, the bullies need to back off. If you are concerned that you may be contagious, then you need to stay at home, but I have seen enough of this in the Last Word that everyone is supposed to have a mask or wear gloves. We don't have to. If you're healthy, you don't have to. So, back off. I can't stand that there's a senior calling in and afraid of being out in public because of the attacks in the Last Word. Shame on you! No one has the right to think they're in control of everyone. Bill Gates makes a prediction about when coronavirus case...

Beaches to reopen but face coverings for all begins May 1

Gambar
Beaches in at least some area cities will reopen with restrictions and water activities such as surfing and swimming will be allowed Monday morning, while all county residents will be under a new order to wear facial coverings outside beginning May 1. San Diego County Supervisor Nathan Fletcher made the announcements Friday at a daily press briefing, where he and others also raised concerns about the impact on the local health care system from a growing number of COVID-19 cases south of the border. He also said 183 new positive cases for the coronavirus had been reported in the county, marking the second day in a row that a record number had been received. But Fletcher also introduced a new method of reporting new cases that took into account the growing number of tests that were being conducted, which he said gave a better understanding of trends over time. Water activities including recreational boating have been prohibited since April 4 under orders of county health officials as a w...

© Gina Ferazzi/Los Angeles Times/TNS PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA - APRIL 3, 2020: A Palm Springs resident finds the serenity of a closed golf course the perfect place for afternoon reading during the coronavirus pandemic at Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort on April 3, 2020 in Palm Springs. All the golf courses are closed in the desert communities. Declining to give his name, he said he's reading a novel by German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. Which seems very relevant during these times. Some of Nietzsche's famous quotes are, "To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffering," and "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." Also, "Without music, life would be a mistake." Inland Empire residents won't be able to cool down at public swimming pools or other water facilities this weekend as temperatures creep into the triple digits in some areas, according to officials. The Inland Empire is expected to hit...
